Yannis Galanos' was a midfielder who played for South Melbourne in 2011.

Galanos' South stint got off to a horror start, when a severe leg injury picked up during a December 2010 practice match against Dandenong Thunder ruled him out for almost all of 2011.

Against the odds, and perhaps against better judgement, Galanos made three appearances at the pointy end of the 2011 season despite a lack of match fitness.

The end of the season saw him move on from South, continuing his club-hopping tendencies, while also leaving him with the unusual statistic of having played more finals matches (2) than home and away games (1) for South.
