Ricky Diaco was a striker who played two season with South Melbourne.
One of the leading forwards of his Victorian Premier League generation, Diaco joined South in 2007[1] from the Bulleen Zebras.
Prior to joining South, Diaco was a co-winner of the Gold Medal in 2004 (with Doug Mladenovic),[2] and had also had a stint with Melbourne Victory during the first season of the A-League.
Scoring twice on debut against Heidelberg, Diaco had a solid 2007 season, finishing as South's leading scorer with ten goals, and winning the club's best and fairest award .
Injuries and poor form in 2008 saw his star wane at South. He left for Oakleigh Cannons at the end of the 2008 season, and was part of their losing 2011[3] and 2012[4] grand final teams.
