Jake Vandermey was a defender who played three matches for South Melbourne during 2011, in late April and early May[1] when the side was in the middle of an injury and suspension crisis.

In May 2011, along with Josh Colosimo, Vandermey was loaned to Olympia Warriors[2], who were then plying their trade in Tasmania's Southern Premier League.

Vandermey was not retained by South following the close of the 2011 season. In 2012 Vandermey joined Pascoe Vale, who were then in State League 1, and was a part of the squad which won promotion to the Victorian Premier League.

After the 2013 season, he signed for Olympia Warriors, who were now part of the Tasmanian National Premier League competition. In 2014, he won Olympia's best and fairest award[3], and finished third in the Tasmanian NPL's best and fairest race behind South Hobart's Brayden Mann and Andy Brennan.[4]
