Shaun David Kelly is an English defender who spent three seasons at South Melbourne Hellas.
The Liverpool-born Kelly had spent several seasons with Chester City in England, but was recruited by South Melbourne from Shepparton United during the 2012 mid-season transfer window.[1]
Despite being a defender, arriving midway through the season, playing just seven games, and being sent off in his debut match for the club,[2] Kelly won the club's leading scorer award in 2012 with just four goals, highlighting the club's scoring problems that year.
Kelly was a mainstay of the 2013 campaign, and one of the few players who managed to play throughout the upheaval of the season. A serious foot injury sustained late in 2013 sidelined Kelly for the entirety of the 2014 season, and he was released at the end of the year.[3]
